Canon EOS 600D: mid-range DSLR with swiveling screen

For a long time to enjoy the mid-range SLR cameras from Canon and it is very popular and time again that this division experienced a (small) update. After EOS 500D and 550D is now so the next logical step: the Canon EOS 600D. However, little update on the ground, since the changes in that time almost exclusively on details relating to the software on the camera itself has hardly changed a bit.

The biggest innovation of the EOS 600D is the screen. In itself, there is a similar model as in the 550D, but this is the first time, turning, which should facilitate recordings from the frog perspective considerably. He has a size of 3 inches in a ratio of 3:2 is a good and clear preview of the pictures taken. There are also a dirt-repellent fluorocarbon coating and three reflection-reducing subsidies, so that the display is readable at any time.

The resolution of the EOS 600D is effective 18 megapixel, all of which sit on an APS-C CMOS sensor. Serves as an image processor, the DIGIC 4 with a 14-bit image processing and can thus provide rich color and subtle color gradations. The ISO range is 100-6400, but can also be expanded to 12,800. The storage medium is, depending on the size of an SD, SDHC or SDXC card. The expert noted that is - all identical to the EOS 550D.

For shooting fast subjects are possible up to 3.7 frames per second, for it provides the correct exposure of the EOS 7D accepted iFCL system with dual-layer sensor, the color, sharpness and brightness over 63 areas measured.
Among the interesting innovations was the "Scene Intelligent Auto" mode, which analyzes the scene and thus selects the optimal settings. This also applies to the Picture Style "Auto", which automatically makes fine adjustments of color, contrast and sharpening.
Also new "Basic +" is that the atmosphere in each location can change at will. There is a choice, for example, "Warm", "cooling" or "intensive".

For great shots of the photographers are now also many creative filters to choose from, for example, a fish-eye effect that mimics the corresponding lenses, granularity in black and white images or blur allow experimenting with the recordings.
But even for 1080p video, a new feature: "Movie Digital Zoom" enables the image sensor in the middle of 3 - to 10-fold increase. About the new video snapshots are short clips have a length of 2 to 8 seconds to create, which can also be cut and then played through the HDMI output to a suitable TV.
The Canon EOS 600D is, of course - how else could it be - part of the EOS system, available for the over 60 lenses and other accessories such as Speedlite flash units available.

Motorola Droid X2 based on Nvidia Tegra

At Motorola's comeback in the mobile market is almost no one had more thought than the group with Android smartphone full again took off. The Motorola Milestone was indeed a milestone, and the giant X Droid set standards. Now, information has leaked to light, stating that the successor to the Droid X on an Nvidia Tegra processor to base 2.

It is located on the outer shape of the device hardly change, there is only significant changes under the hood. Must give way to the OMAP processor from Texas Instruments a 1GHz chip Tegra 2 fast with his powerful GeForceeinheit, and the display can not avoid an update. This will give way to the current 4.3-inch screen with its 480 x854 pixels, a copy of the same size with 540 x 960 pixels, and displays of the retina is the iPhine to almost nothing after.

Thus, the buyer can also draw a benefit from the elemental forces of the Tegra 2 Dual Core processor and the high-resolution display, is also an 8 Megapixel camera and a HDMI and a USB 2.0 connector to be on board. On the operating system, there are still no details, but probably will Android in the next version 3.0 will be delivered Honeycomb. Silicon Power 64GB Compact Flash card shows

The end of the magnetic memory is coming to an end, each month describing recent SSDs with more capacity, higher speeds and lower prices. That this development to other areas of the electronic memory of spills is all too logical.

With a capacity of 64GB, this is the largest Compact Flash card from Silicon Power program, which receives the 600x rating. This ensures transfer rates of 90MB / s, and is thus higher than that of current notebook hard drives. But speed is only one of the features that are available in 64Gb 600x on the credit side. (pictured an older model with only one classification 400x)

Thus offers the Compact Flash card, thanks to an intelligent controller wear leveling, which distributes the write requests dynamically to increase the life span as well as the ECC error correction and various access modes UDMA, which serve to relieve the CPU. The whole package is called at Silicon Power TurboMLC and for once take this concept even. Thus, no need to make professional users worried about their memory card, these come with a lifetime warranty. An exact price or availability is not yet known, but this should change within the next few weeks.

Cowon X7: Touch Screen player with hard drive in the test

The market for MP3 players degenerates more and more of a niche in the electronics business. This is nothing new, is taken into account, has grown strongly as the market for mobile phones. In the upper segments are smartphones as a compact all-rounder really any task from simple text to word processing, and of course control the music player. In the meantime, however, even simple devices are often used as an MP3 player. Models that lack this feature, can sell only with difficulty. The trend seems to go to a mobile device that can do everything. This applies not only to cell phones, and device classes, such as Tablet PCs, netbooks, and most recently the iPad be used as a portable music player. The playback of audio files is so long no more property to justify a product that is itself specialized. An exception to this is here is still Apple's iPod, that while in their own home with the iPhone a strong competitor, but still enjoys some popularity. Apple's iPod models apparently have features that appeal to customers despite the alleged redundancy of an MP3 player. This can be well in ease of use, design, and not least, see the large number of apps and the Wi-Fi support of the iPod Touch. Thus, the iPod has earned a place on the market, so Apple has a near monopoly.

The Korean manufacturer Cowon however, claims to be a producer of premium-quality player. The touch-screen that we tested recently Player J3, which is placed in the segment of the iPod Touch could indeed quite convincing, but some outstanding features.
An attack on the iPod Classic now starts with the Cowon X7, of the European market is not yet available. The player has as main storage, a hard disk with a capacity of 120 or 160 gigabytes and is already on so much of the market, which mainly holds models with flash memory. Also rare is the combination of ordinary hard drive and touchscreen, which offers not even the iPod. Unusually this is the way of the display: It is not itself a capacitive screen, registered the touch of an electric current, but an actual touch-sensitive surface that must be pressed easily. This technique is far less common than the usually built-in capacitive touch screens. Our review of the Creative ZEN X-Fi 2 was clearly pressure-sensitive screen on the weaknesses of this type of screen.
The more tense we were in the X7, the set with hard drive and touch-sensitive display a unique niche. Whether the Cowon X7 for a wider audience than the typical right-Cowon small target group of buyers with special attention to the acoustic features and high quality workmanship can be interesting, our test shows an imported X7 model.

How to get (Wi-Fi) Internet on iPod Touch Everywhere

Well I know some of you are mad because iPod Touch does not have 3G network. You can actually get internet on iPod Touch everywhere you go with small gizmo called MiFi. MiFi can be obtained at Verizon or Virgin Mobile, I would prefer Virgin Mobile because they are A LOT cheaper.

How do you get internet on iPod Touch?
Sign up with Virgin Mobile, wait until you get MiFi and all you really have to do is turn it on and viola you are on internet everywhere you go!

Plans are not that expensive:
$10  gets you 100MB and it's valid for 10 days
$40 is unlimited data for 1 month!

MiFi is basically a 3G network that gets converted to Wi-Fi. What I like about MiFi is that you can hook up 5 devices to it and its pretty fast too.
